Services for Pre-School and Early Years

Partners in psychology offer opportunities for organisational development, parent work, group work and individual assessment to support children at the earliest stages of development and maximise future potential. We can support you in meeting development goals offering consultation, support and advice to staff and parents and work directly with the children in your care.


Assessment

  • Observation and consultation
  • Play-based assessment
  • Emotional and Behavioural assessment
  • Early years learning and/or cognitive assessment
  • Language and communication assessment
  • Social communication and interaction assessment in consultation with other professionals where required

Advice and Intervention

  • We offer a range of interventions for early years pupils including strategies of support to inform individual targeting in line with current guidance.
  • Other interventions can include support for children with a range of special educational needs including: Autism, Attachment and relationship difficulties or Medical conditions such as Down’s syndrome
  • Advice for specific vulnerable populations such as: ASD, LAC, HI and VI

Work with parents

  • Drop in sessions
  • Consultations on childrens’ development
  • Consultations around school transitions
  • Consultation around behavioural concerns e.g. making sense of behaviours, sibling relationships, approaches to parenting.
  • Workshops for parents around various topics e.g. behaviour management, autistic spectrum conditions, early brain development, early play development and learning, language and communication development
  • Mental health and well-being
  • Bereavement and loss

Training and Organisational Development

We design and deliver training packages to suit your staff, setting and parents – examples include:

  • Needs-led training e.g. for all staff who are working with a child with a specific need
  • Whole staff training around particular topics e.g ADHD, Autism, mental health, domestic abuse
  • Staff well-being workshops
  • Team-building
